Union Minister H D Kumaraswamy has publicly challenged the state government to take his prosecution matter directly to the Supreme Court rather than seeking permission from Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot.
In response to accusations made by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Kumaraswamy questioned the need for what he described as 'theatrics'.
Kumaraswamy pointed out that the Supreme Court has jurisdiction over his case and has barred any other courts from passing orders on it, urging the government to follow the correct legal procedure.
