The Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UP RERA) on Friday took a stern stance against promoters of 400 group housing projects who failed to upload land records or maps on its portal, warning of placing such projects on an 'abeyance' list.
An official statement highlighted the significance of the decision made during the 152nd meeting of UP RERA. It was outlined that approximately 3,700 housing projects are currently registered with the authority, and the move aims to protect homebuyers from fraudulent promoters.
UP RERA Chairman Sanjay Bhoosreddy emphasized the necessity of uploading all requisite documents related to the projects on the portal. He warned promoters to comply without delay, while also advising allottees to avoid investing in projects listed in 'abeyance'.
