An FIR has been registered against 52 flat owners of a residential society on Sohna Road for allegedly providing accommodation to foreign nationals without informing police, officials revealed on Wednesday.
Gurugram police, as part of a security drill for Independence Day, were checking hotels, guest houses, and residential societies. A police team from Bhondsi police station found that foreign nationals were staying in 52 flats of Central Park Society without the required police notification and Form C submission.
Authorities emphasize that such details must be submitted in Form C to registration authorities within 24 hours of a foreigner's arrival to help tracking and locating efforts. Violations can attract penalties up to five years under Section 14 of the Foreigner Act. Form C can be completed online via the Bureau of Immigration's portal.
