India Tightens Security Nationwide Ahead of Independence Day

In preparation for Independence Day, India has implemented extensive security measures nationwide, deploying over 10,000 police officers in Delhi along with AI-based facial recognition cameras. Security camps are set up in Maoist-hit Bastar for the first-time flag hoisting. States like Punjab and Tripura have also heightened security.

As India readies for Independence Day, the nation has ramped up security across multiple regions, particularly in Delhi and Maoist-affected Bastar. The capital city has seen the deployment of over 10,000 police officers, AI-based facial recognition cameras, and strategic positioning of snipers and elite SWAT teams. Major traffic restrictions and intensive vehicle checks are also in effect.

Beyond Delhi, Punjab and Tripura have significantly enhanced their security protocols. Vehicle inspections and flag marches were conducted to ensure public safety, while central forces remain vigilant across Tripura. Special operations are in place across various districts in Punjab, including abandoned building searches in Pathankot, emphasizing public cooperation against suspicious activities.

The Bastar region in Chhattisgarh, plagued by Left Wing Extremism for decades, prepares for a landmark event: the first-ever flag hoisting in 13 remote villages, supported by newly established security camps. Meanwhile, nationwide efforts are synchronized to ensure a peaceful celebration of India's Independence Day.
