A tragic incident unfolded on Tuesday on Kapurthala-Sultanpur Lodhi road in Punjab, where a man lost his life after his scooter was struck by a truck, police reported.
The unfortunate event happened near Bhulana village, as confirmed by local authorities on Monday. The victim, Amrik Singh, aged 58, was an employee of the Rail Coach Factory. He was returning to his home village, Sukhia Nangal, after visiting a relative in the hospital when the fatal collision took place, according to Station House Officer (SHO) Sonamdeep Kaur.
The driver of the truck involved in the accident has been apprehended by the police, and legal proceedings have begun against him.
