AAP Punjab's farmers wing staged a protest on Wednesday against BJP MP Kangana Ranaut's remarks on the farmers' protest, demanding her termination from the Lok Sabha and expulsion from the BJP.
The protesters claimed Ranaut frequently makes divisive comments and called for legal action against her. AAP MLA Jagtar Singh Dayalpura accused her of sowing seeds of hatred in society.
The police intervened as protesters attempted to move towards the Punjab BJP office, briefly detaining them. Protests against Ranaut's comments were also held in other states, leading the Himachal Pradesh Assembly to condemn her remarks.
