India and Australia Bolster Counter-Terrorism and Maritime Security Cooperation
India and Australia have emphasized the need for strengthening global cooperation to combat terrorism and condemned the use of terrorist proxies for cross-border terrorism. Both countries exchanged views on counter-terrorism challenges and discussed ways to boost maritime security. The meetings in Delhi and Canberra highlighted the importance of sustained collaboration on these critical issues.

India and Australia are stepping up their joint efforts to combat terrorism and ensure maritime security, with officials from both countries meeting this week in Delhi and Canberra.
At the 14th meeting of the India-Australia Joint Working Group on Counter-Terrorism, both nations condemned all forms of terrorism and emphasized comprehensive international cooperation. Topics discussed included new technologies used by terrorists, internet misuse, radicalization, terror financing, and the nexus between organized crime and terrorism.
Simultaneously, the sixth India-Australia Maritime Security Dialogue in Canberra focused on maintaining a safe and secure maritime environment in the Indo-Pacific region. Discussions included maritime domain awareness, disaster relief coordination, and sustainable use of marine resources, among other issues.
