The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) has uncovered a mephedrone manufacturing unit in Nagpur, Maharashtra, leading to the arrest of four individuals, according to officials on Sunday.

Acting on a confidential tip, the DRI team searched an under-construction building in Paachpavli on Saturday. They discovered a small laboratory equipped with chemicals, raw materials, and machinery for manufacturing mephedrone.

Authorities seized at least 51.95 kg of liquid mephedrone worth Rs 78 crore, along with other raw materials and equipment. The group's financier and three accomplices were arrested under the NDPS Act.
