Bangladeshi Man Caught Posing as Indian at Lucknow Airport
A Bangladeshi citizen, identified as Shimul Barua, was apprehended at Lucknow's Chaudhary Charan Singh Airport while attempting to fly to Thailand on a fake Indian tourist visa. Immigration officers discovered Barua's true identity after questioning him, leading to his arrest and further investigation.

In a recent incident, a Bangladeshi citizen was apprehended at Lucknow's Chaudhary Charan Singh Airport after he was caught trying to fly to Thailand on a fraudulent Indian tourist visa.
Identified as Shimul Barua from Shilghata, Bangladesh, the man posed as Ashish Rai from West Bengal, using forged documents to obtain an Indian passport and Aadhaar card.
Immigration officer Rakesh Kumar Yadav revealed that Barua's real identity was uncovered during routine questioning. Following the discovery, Barua was immediately arrested and further questioned at Sarojini Nagar Police Station. The authorities also recovered his Bangladeshi passport.
