Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday convened a meeting to assess the state's law and order situation, along with the progression of public welfare schemes, especially in the context of upcoming festivals.

The meeting, attended by officers from zonal, division, range, and district levels, was focused on ensuring peace and order during festivals such as Nag Panchami, Shravan, the centenary celebration of the Kakori train action, Rakshabandhan, Chehlum, and Janmashtami.

Adityanath stressed the importance of democratic engagement with various organizations, including farmer groups, to address their concerns without allowing the spread of anarchy. He also emphasized the need for vigilance against fake news and announced special measures, including free bus travel for women during Rakshabandhan, and a state-wide 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign.
