Goa Governor P S Sreedharan Pillai distributed financial assistance to 272 cancer and dialysis patients from the governor's discretionary funds on Friday.
Addressing a gathering at Raj Bhavan in Dona Paula, the governor emphasized that the people of India are supreme, underscoring the duty of elected representatives to serve them. He announced plans to visit forest-dwelling communities in Goa to understand their lives and address their grievances.
Pillai also revealed that all applications for financial assistance received by Raj Bhavan have been cleared, while praying for the speedy recovery of cancer patients.
