A tragic incident unfolded in Goregaon, Mumbai, as a 57-year-old salesman and his physiotherapist wife were found dead on Friday, according to police.

The man, identified as Kishor Pednekar, is suspected to have committed suicide by jumping from a building. His wife, Rajeshree, was found dead at their residence.

The incident was discovered at 5:30 am in Jawahar Nagar. Initial investigations indicate that Pednekar may have ended his life after killing his wife.

Pednekar, reportedly suffering from depression, was found lifeless on the road near Topiwala Mansion and was declared dead at the hospital.

Police were alerted after calls to Rajeshree went unanswered. They found her dead at home, after retrieving the flat's key from a locket Pednekar was wearing.

The couple's son, based in Delhi, has been notified. An accidental death case has been registered, and further investigations are ongoing.
