Police Team Injured in Hot Water Assault During Arrest Attempt

In a violent confrontation on Wednesday, seven individuals, including a police officer, sustained injuries when suspects in a criminal case threw hot water at them in Bhayander, according to Deputy Commissioner of Police Prakash Gaikwad.
The incident occurred in the Walchand Nagar locality as a police team attempted to arrest four individuals facing charges under IPC section 326 for causing grievous hurt. The suspects obstructed the officers' entry into their flat, but once the police forced their way in, they were assaulted with hot water. Despite the attack, the police successfully apprehended the suspects.
The injured officer and others were hospitalized. The suspects, previously involved in a dispute with their landlord, will face additional charges for assaulting the police team.
