Police Arrest Men in Separate Marriage Deception Cases
Police in Ludhiana and Nalasopara have arrested two men for deceiving women under the pretext of marriage. One allegedly raped a woman, while the other robbed over 20 women. Both were apprehended by local police after thorough investigations.

A 26-year-old man from Ludhiana has been arrested for allegedly raping a woman under the false pretext of marriage, Ludhiana police announced on Monday. The accused, Raghav Rajesh Agarwal, allegedly assaulted the woman several times from January last year to August this year.
According to officials, the victim and Agarwal met at an exhibition in Delhi. Mumbai police, who were investigating the case, traced Agarwal to Ludhiana. A team was dispatched, leading to his arrest and subsequent transfer to Mumbai.
In a separate incident in Nalasopara, police arrested Firoz Niyazi Sheikh for allegedly robbing more than 20 women under similar pretexts. Sheikh reportedly created fake online profiles to ensnare widowed women, stealing money and jewelry before disappearing. A sting operation led to his arrest in Kalyan, officials said.
