The Delhi High Court has taken up the matter of TMC MP Mahua Moitra's plea to quash an FIR filed against her. The FIR pertains to alleged derogatory remarks made by Moitra on social media about NCW chief Rekha Sharma.

Justice Neena Bansal Krishna has issued a notification to the Delhi Police, requesting a status report within four weeks. The court has scheduled arguments about the FIR's legality for November 6.

Moitra's counsel, senior advocate Indira Jaising, stated that they were not initially provided a copy of the FIR and only learnt about it through media reports. The FIR was later handed over during the court proceedings.
