Cow Smuggler's Death Amid Bovine Chase in Rajasthan
In the early hours of Wednesday, a pickup van driver identified as Sandeep, allegedly smuggling cows, was shot dead by another group of suspected bovine smugglers in Deeg district, Rajasthan. The police were pursuing the vehicle when a commotion led to gunfire, resulting in Sandeep's death. Two cows were rescued.

In a dramatic turn of events, a pickup van driver, allegedly smuggling cows, was fatally shot by another group of suspected bovine smugglers in Rajasthan's Deeg district early Wednesday. Police reports reveal the incident took place around 2 am.
According to Superintendent of Police Rajesh Kumar Meena, law enforcement had intelligence on two men smuggling cows in a pickup van. As officers gave chase, the suspects opened fire at the police vehicle.
The situation escalated when two other suspected cow smugglers engaged with the van's occupants. Amidst the commotion, a bullet struck the van driver, Sandeep, who succumbed to his injuries. His companion, Naresh, was apprehended, and two cows were rescued from the scene. The other two smugglers managed to escape, police confirmed.
