The Delhi High Court on Wednesday upheld the jail authorities' decision to deny visitation rights to AAP's Rajya Sabha MP, Sandeep Pathak, preventing a meeting with Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in Tihar Jail.

Justice Neena Bansal Krishna, addressing Pathak's plea for future visits, stated that Pathak could submit a fresh application, which the jail superintendent would review accordingly.

The court had previously reserved its judgment on August 22 after hearing arguments from both Pathak's counsel and Tihar Jail authorities. Pathak's earlier meetings with Kejriwal in April were permitted, but recent requests were denied, citing violations of prison rules and political motivations. Kejriwal remains jailed over an alleged excise policy scam.
