Community Appeals for Action Against Street Dog Menace in Telangana

Residents of Petbasheerabad, Telangana, particularly children and their parents, complained to the police about the increasing menace of street dogs in their locality. Recent attacks led to the death of an 18-month-old boy and injuries to another child. They urged the local authorities including the Chief Minister to take swift action.

A group of children and their parents approached the police in Petbasheerabad on Sunday, raising concerns about the menace of street dogs in their locality.

Last week's tragic incidents saw an 18-month-old boy lose his life, while another boy suffered injuries from street dog attacks in separate incidents in Telangana.

Holding placards with messages like 'Save Us from Street Dogs' and 'Save Us from Rabies', the children appealed to Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and local MLA K P Vivekanand to implement protective measures against street dogs.

Children reported that these dogs have been attacking family members and other residents, demanding immediate action for their safety.

A police officer assured reporters they would address the issue by liaising with senior police officials and municipal authorities. Numerous street dog attacks have recently been reported in the state, some fatal. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy expressed his distress over the recent death in Hyderabad and instructed officials to prevent such incidents in the future.
