Probationary IAS Officer Investigated for Fraudulent Identity Use in UPSC Exams
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has taken action against probationary IAS officer Puja Khedkar for fraudulently availing attempts in the civil services examination by faking her identity. A series of measures, including filing a police case and initiating a show cause notice for canceling her 2022 candidature, have been initiated.

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has taken severe actions against probationary IAS officer Puja Khedkar, who has been accused of fraudulently availing attempts in the civil services examination by faking her identity.
Among the actions taken, the UPSC has registered a police case, issued a show cause notice for canceling her candidature of the Civil Services Examination 2022, and debarred her from future examinations and selections.
Khedkar, who was a 2023 batch probationary Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer, allegedly misused power and privileges during her training in Pune and even used unauthorized perks such as a high-ranking beacon atop a private car. After the investigation, she was transferred to the Washim District Collectorate in Maharashtra.
