Tamil Nadu Government Reshuffles Key Bureaucratic Positions

The Tamil Nadu government has carried out a significant bureaucratic reshuffle, transferring key officials including Principal Home Secretary P Amudha, who is now Principal Secretary, Revenue and Disaster Management Department. Dheeraj Kumar has been appointed in her place. Several other senior officials have also been reassigned.

The Tamil Nadu government has executed a major bureaucratic reshuffle on Tuesday, impacting several senior officials. Principal Home Secretary P Amudha, IAS, has been replaced with Dheeraj Kumar, who was serving as Additional Chief Secretary to Government, Information Technology and Digital Services Department.

In this reshuffle, Kumar has now been assigned the Home, Prohibition and Excise Department, whereas Amudha has been appointed as Principal Secretary, Revenue and Disaster Management Department.

Among the other key officials transferred, Greater Chennai Corporation Commissioner Dr. J Radhakrishnan will now serve as Additional Chief Secretary, Cooperation, Food and Consumer Protection Department, replacing Dr. K Gopal. Meanwhile, Senior IAS officer Kumar Jayant has been reassigned as Additional Chief Secretary to Government, Information Technology and Digital Services Department. The changes also include the transfer of many district collectors.
