Major Shake-up in Odisha's Bureaucracy: 18 Senior IAS Officers Transferred

The Odisha government has transferred 18 senior IAS officers, appointing them to new roles across various departments. Key appointments include Satyabrata Sahu as Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) of Home and Climate Change departments, and D K Singh as ACS of Revenue and Disaster Management. Other notable reassignments involve Surendra Kumar and Hemant Sharma.

The Odisha government has implemented a significant reshuffle, transferring 18 senior IAS officers to new posts, as per the notification issued by the General Administration department.

Satyabrata Sahu has been appointed as the Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) of the Home department, with the added responsibility of the Forest, Environment, and Climate Change department. Similarly, D K Singh is now ACS of the Revenue and Disaster Management department, with additional duties as Special Relief Commissioner and Managing Director of the Odisha State Disaster Management Authority (OSDMA).

Surendra Kumar, currently serving in multiple roles, including ACS of General Administration and Public Grievance, has been reassigned to the Steel and Mines department but will continue holding additional charges in various other departments. Hemant Sharma will take over as Principal Secretary of the Energy department, replacing Saswat Mishra. Other significant appointments include Bishnupada Sethi and Usha Padhee in critical departmental roles, with several senior officers maintaining additional charges across various sectors.
