Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi announced plans to hold public grievance sessions outside the state capital, Bhubaneswar, to expedite problem resolution for citizens. This initiative aims to bring problem-solving mechanisms closer to the people at the district level, reducing their need to travel long distances.

Majhi criticized the previous administration for neglecting the grievance cell, resulting in many long-standing unresolved issues. He suggested that future sessions could be organized at revenue divisional headquarters to ensure that grievances are addressed promptly and effectively.

During the latest session held on Monday, more than 1,700 participants registered their grievances, and actions have already been initiated on over 1,000 cases, with the process actively continuing, according to the Chief Minister.
