Four people have been arrested in Noida for consuming alcohol in a parked car during wedding celebrations, police reported on Monday.

The incident took place around a banquet hall in sector 73, within the sector 113 police station area, on Sunday.

Those detained are part of the banquet hall's management and the bar operator, who had set up shop in the modified car.

Police declined to comment on whether they had received any complaints or had taken any action against the wedding's guests or hosts.

"Information about the open consumption of alcohol was received on Sunday, prompting immediate action against the event management team and the bar operator," said the police.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Haider (30), Arjun (20), Ajit (21), son of Malkhan, and Prateek Taneja (27).

Taneja, who resides in New Delhi, is the owner of the modified car that has been seized by the authorities.
