External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and his Thai counterpart Maris Sangiampongsa have reviewed progress in bilateral cooperation in areas of trade, connectivity, and investment, according to a statement from the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on Sunday.

The discussion took place on the sidelines of a BIMSTEC meeting and covered various partnership areas, including political exchanges, defense, trade opportunities, science and technology collaboration, health, and cultural interaction, the MEA said.

Both ministers reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening the India-Thailand partnership, stressing its strategic importance within the ASEAN framework. They also emphasized their mutual commitment to enhancing cooperation at sub-regional, regional, and multilateral levels.
