The Bhadohi district administration has taken a decisive step against 80 government school teachers who allegedly submitted fake medical certificates to avoid poll duty during the Lok Sabha elections.

Polling took place on May 25 in the district's sixth phase. Bhupendra Narayan Singh, the district's Basic Shiksha Adhikari (BSA), revealed that out of 106 teachers assigned to polling duties, 80 were found to have submitted fraudulent medical reports.

Following a thorough probe, the administration has ordered a departmental inquiry against these teachers and directed that adverse entries be made in their service records.
