Finance Bill 2024-25 to be Presented in Lok Sabha

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the Finance Bill 2024-2025 in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday. Key ministers will discuss and lay various reports and papers. The budget session of Parliament, which began on July 22, will conclude on August 12.

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the Finance Bill for the financial year 2024-2025 in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday. According to the agenda, Sitharaman will move the bill for consideration and passage to give effect to the Central Government's financial proposals.

On Tuesday, Sitharaman introduced the Finance (No.2) Bill, 2024, in Parliament. Several Union Ministers, including Jitendra Singh and Arjun Ram Meghwal, are set to lay papers for their respective ministries in the Lok Sabha. Union Minister Nimuben Jayantibhai Bambhaniaya will make a statement on the implementation of recommendations from the Standing Committee on Media Coverage.

Meanwhile, in the Rajya Sabha, Sitharaman is also prepared to move The Jammu and Kashmir Appropriation (No.3) Bill, 2024. This bill aims to authorize payments from the Consolidated Fund of the Union territory for the financial year 2024-25. Other Union Ministers will lay various reports and papers in the Rajya Sabha as well. The budget session of Parliament is scheduled to conclude on August 12.
