In a strategic initiative to bolster security along the Indo-Bangladesh border, Additional Director General (ADG) of BSF's Eastern Command, Ravi Gandhi, undertook an exhaustive review of the Sundarbans mangrove belt on Sunday.

Accompanied by the DIG of Sector Headquarters in Kolkata and other officers from the 118 Battalion, Gandhi meticulously inspected critical areas from the T-junction in Sundarbans to the remote floating border outpost Krishna, extending to the forest outpost Buridabari. A spokesperson for the paramilitary force highlighted these inspections.

The focus of the visit was to critically assess the operational readiness and the efficacy of currently implemented security measures. During this review, the battalion commander provided a comprehensive briefing covering key strategic locations, including all floating border outposts under the 118 battalion's jurisdiction in the Sundarbans region.
