A brick reportedly shattered the rear windshield of an SUV in the convoy of Jannayak Janta Party (JJP) leader Dushyant Chautala during a campaign stop in Uchana Kalan, police reported on Tuesday.
The incident occurred when the vehicle was stationary amid a roadshow halt, with no occupants inside, according to law enforcement. The joint campaign of Dushyant Chautala's JJP and Chandra Shekhar Azad's Azad Samaj Party (Kanshi Ram) is part of the run-up to the October 5 Haryana elections.
Police revealed that the altercation stemmed from a prior argument between Dushyant and a 74-year-old local resident, who is now under investigation. Officer Pawan Kumar from Uchana Police Station confirmed the damage and ongoing inquiries.
