In a call for action, Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Jiang Zaidong has urged the Pakistani government to crack down on anti-China terrorist groups following two alarming attacks in six months targeting Chinese nationals, as reported by The Express Tribune.

Addressing a seminar titled 'China at 75', Ambassador Jiang articulated the severe repercussions of these incidents and the necessity for heightened security measures, describing the attacks as 'unacceptable' and detrimental to bilateral interests.

The Ambassador strongly urged Pakistani authorities to ensure the safety of Chinese personnel and institutions, pointing out that secure conditions are crucial for the success of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

During the seminar organized by the Pakistan China Institute, Jiang emphasized the importance of tangible security improvements, with Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar reaffirming Pakistan's commitment to addressing these threats and updating progress during the forthcoming meeting between President Asif Zardari and President Xi Jinping.

Despite these challenges, Dar noted that Pakistan and China remain committed to advancing the CPEC project, emphasizing cooperation in trade and other economic sectors while criticizing perceived external efforts to thwart China's rise as a global economic giant.
