Prime Minister Narendra Modi has declared that the road in front of the Jamaica High Commission in New Delhi will now be known as 'Jamaica Marg'. This announcement was made on Tuesday during a joint press conference with Jamaican Prime Minister Andrew Holness, highlighting the robust ties between India and Jamaica.

Modi underscored the common love for cricket in both nations, stating that sports play a significant role in their relationship. He noted, 'India and Jamaica may be separated by vast oceans, but our people, our culture, and our history are linked to each other.'

He also commended the Indian community in Jamaica, saying they are a 'living example of our cultural heritage'. The two leaders met earlier today at Hyderabad House, with Holness on his first official visit to India.
