Prime Minister Narendra Modi, citing India's role in raising the voice of the Global South during its G20 presidency, underscored the importance of an inclusive global development order. Modi expressed that today's dynamic world requires the government to prepare for future challenges and opportunities.
Addressing the ET World Leaders Forum on Saturday, PM Modi said, "During the G20 presidency, we helped amplify the voices of our African friends and the Global South. We aspire for a world order that ensures the inclusive development of all countries, particularly those in the Global South. The future holds immense possibilities for these nations, and India is becoming their voice through the spirit of Vishwa Bandhu."
Highlighting India's significant economic growth, PM Modi noted, "The global economy has grown by 35 percent in the last decade, while our economy has surged by almost 90 percent. Our mantra of reform, perform, and transform has driven sustainable growth, which will continue. India aims to lead in every sector, promoting wealth creation and innovation for global prosperity."
