Tel Aviv [Israel], August 29 (ANI/TPS): The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported a significant breakthrough in its anti-terror efforts, neutralizing 12 terrorists and arresting more than ten wanted individuals in a 30-hour operation in Jenin and Tulkarm. The mission also led to the destruction of dozens of explosives and the confiscation of various weapons.

The operation was a collaborative effort among the IDF, Border Police, and the Shin Bet, Israel's anti-terror General Security Service. IDF units involved included combat engineers, paratroopers, and the elite Duvdevan special forces unit. Notably, five terrorists were killed in a mosque in Tulkarm, including Muhammad Jaber, also known as "Abu Shahja'a," a key terrorist leader in Nur Shams.

The Duvdevan fighters, under Shin Bet's direction, discovered an explosives laboratory and an operations center inside the mosque using a drone. Throughout the operation, one IDF soldier sustained moderate injuries while another was lightly wounded. Both soldiers were evacuated to a hospital for medical treatment, and their families have been informed.
