Israel's Ministry of Foreign Affairs Director-General Yaakov Blitshtein paid tribute to the victims of the 26/11 terror attack at the Nirman House in Mumbai. He subsequently inaugurated the Advanced Antimicrobial Emergency Room at JJ Hospital in Mumbai.

During a press briefing, Blitshtein lauded the hospital's 118-year commitment to public healthcare. Amid current tensions in Israel, he stressed the critical importance of robust healthcare systems. He also underscored the urgent need for like-minded nations to collectively fight terrorism, calling it a 'disease' that must be eradicated through unified action.

'Terrorism is a disease that we must face together,' Blitshtein said. 'It will not cease unless like-minded countries join forces against it.' In the context of the ongoing Israel-Gaza conflict, Blitshtein emphasized Israel's right to self-defense and vowed to thwart terror attacks independently if necessary. 'Israel will defend its citizens and will take all necessary steps to ensure their safety,' he stated, highlighting a recent operation to destroy a 3km-long tunnel near the Netzarim Corridor.

The Israeli military reported that its Yahalom engineering unit, along with Jerusalem brigade troops, successfully located and destroyed the tunnel, one of hundreds targeted recently. Additionally, Israeli forces confirmed the killing of Hezbollah member Faras Qassem on the Syria-Lebanon border, following Hezbollah's announcement of a fighter's death in Damascus due to an Israeli airstrike.
