UAE Conducts Fourth Air Ambulance Mission from Oman

The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and NSRC successfully executed an air ambulance operation to transfer a critically injured person from Oman to Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City in UAE, following a severe traffic accident. This marks the fourth such mission recently.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) of the UAE, in collaboration with the National Guard and the National Search and Rescue Centre (NSRC), has successfully conducted an air ambulance mission to transport a critically injured individual from Oman to UAE. The patient, involved in a severe traffic accident while with her family in Oman, required immediate medical attention and transfer to Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City in Abu Dhabi.

This marks the fourth air ambulance operation executed by UAE authorities from Oman in recent times. The operation, supported by Omani officials, began after the patient received initial treatment at Nizwa Hospital in Oman. She was accompanied by family members aboard an NSRC aircraft, ensuring continuous care en route to the UAE.

The UAE's MoFA applauds the cooperation and significant support provided by the Omani authorities and the UAE Embassy in Muscat, which was crucial to the mission's success. MoFA also issued a reminder for travelers to exercise caution and adhere strictly to traffic regulations and speed limits to safeguard their lives and the lives of others.
