Four men were killed in separate road accidents on Sunday in Meerut, attributed to traffic rule violations, according to the police.

In one unfortunate incident, Sushil Kumar (45) and Chander (46) died instantly when their scooter collided head-on with a bus while attempting a U-turn on New Link Road near the Meerut intersection. The pillion rider was not wearing a helmet, police confirmed.

Additionally, two men died on the Delhi-Meerut Expressway when a truck rammed into a parked truck. The parked truck's driver, Sunil Kumar (40), died immediately, while the other driver, Sachin (29), succumbed to injuries at the hospital. The bus has been seized, but the driver fled the scene, said Additional Deputy Commissioner Piyush Kumar Singh.
