New details have emerged in an ongoing probe into the relationship between Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan and former ISI Director-General Lieutenant General (retd) Faiz Hameed, as reported by The Express Tribune. Sources indicated that General Hameed maintained contact with Imran Khan through his wife, Bushra Bibi, allegedly providing information ahead of time which she would then convey to Khan as divine inspirations.

According to these sources, the accuracy of these revelations bolstered Khan's belief in Bushra Bibi's spiritual capabilities, while it was actually Hameed feeding the information. The investigation took an unexpected turn after General Hameed's arrest, when an iPhone discovered in Chakwal revealed intricate details of his connection with Khan. Bushra Bibi's patience is rumored to be wearing thin, with indications she might cooperate with authorities to secure immunity for herself and her associate, Farah Gogi.

Meanwhile, on Saturday, Imran Khan conveyed his lack of intimidation by General Hameed's arrest, stating to reporters in Adiala Jail that he wouldn't have called for a judicial commission if he were afraid. The military announced on August 12 that General Hameed had been detained for multiple violations of the Army Act following his retirement in December 2022. A Field General Court Martial has been initiated as per Supreme Court directives following a petition by land development company, Top City, alleging misconduct by Hameed and his brother.
