The family of Eerukonda Rajesh, a deceased student from Telangana, has called on the Central and state governments for assistance to repatriate his remains from the U.S. Financial constraints have impeded their ability to bring Rajesh's body back to India.

Residing in Warangal district's Atmakur village, Rajesh's family has faced considerable hardship. Following the recent loss of Rajesh's father, financial difficulties prevented Rajesh from returning home for the funeral. Now, his mother and sister implore the authorities to help them secure a dignified funeral for Rajesh in his homeland.

Rajesh's mother, Lela, spoke to ANI, detailing their struggles and uncertainty about her son's death. "Rajesh went to America for higher studies in 2016, and we supported his education with loans. We last communicated on August 10, and since then, we have been in a state of turmoil."

His sister, Rama Devi, revealed Rajesh's prolonged absence from India due to financial hurdles. Despite earning a B Pharmacy degree in India and pursuing further studies in the U.S., financial instability kept him away. "Even when our father died 10 months ago, Rajesh couldn't attend the funeral," she said, urging the governments to help repatriate her brother's remains.

Wangala Buchi Reddy, a retired police constable from their village, echoed the family's sorrow and plea for help. "Rajesh, a promising young man from our village, was unable to return home due to financial issues. We request the authorities to help bring his body back to India," Reddy said. (ANI)
