Human Rights Focus Pakistan (HRFP) has issued a strong condemnation over blasphemy accusations directed at two Christian sisters, Sonia Masih and Saima Masih, in Toba Tek Singh district. According to a HRFP press release, HRFP President Naveed Walter voiced his deep concerns over these false accusations and the related arrests of Christians.

Walter highlighted a rise in such incidents, drawing parallels to prior cases like the tragic event in Jaranwala last year where a mob vandalized churches and homes, resulting in deadly violence. In his statement, he stressed that Christians continue to feel unsafe as minorities in Pakistan, and called for an end to the cycle of violence triggered by false blasphemy charges.

He also urged the government to take decisive actions against the true perpetrators and bring justice to the innocent. HRFP is actively assisting the affected families through legal and other immediate support. The organization cited other recent cases highlighting the ongoing plight faced by Christian minorities in the country.
