Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Monday strongly criticized Maharashtra BJP Minister Nitesh Rane for referring to Kerala as 'Mini Pakistan.' Vijayan termed the comment as 'deeply provocative and deplorable,' drawing attention to the alleged divisive stance of the 'Sangh Parivar' towards the state.

The Kerala CM accused the Sangh Parivar of utilizing hate campaigns and divisive rhetoric to marginalize regions where they face resistance. He emphasized that Rane's statement reflects their strategy of isolating challenging areas to gain influence.

Furthermore, Vijayan criticized the central government for remaining silent, labeling Rane's remarks as a breach of constitutional principles and the minister's oath. He asserted that a minister issuing such inflammatory comments is unsuitable for office.

During a rally in Purandar Taluka, Pune district, Nitesh Rane controversially equated Kerala to 'Mini Pakistan,' suggesting Congress leaders Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi's election from the state was due to support from 'terrorists.'

Following the uproar, Rane clarified that his comments aimed to highlight similarities between Kerala's and Pakistan's situations, affirming Kerala's Indian status. (ANI)
