The mass resignations occurred during a meeting of the hospital's department heads. Senior doctors from another medical institution, NRS Medical College and Hospital, are also considering similar actions.
The Joint Platform of Doctors, West Bengal, continues to support the protests as hunger-striking junior doctors receive no official communication from authorities.
