Woman Sustains Severe Burns After Family Dispute in Lucknow
A 30-year-old woman from Unnao district sustained 90 per cent burn injuries after allegedly attempting self-immolation following a family dispute in Lucknow. She is currently receiving treatment at Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee (Civil) Hospital. Police extinguished the flames and are investigating the incident.

A 30-year-old woman from Unnao district sustained 90 per cent burn injuries after allegedly attempting to immolate herself. The tragic incident occurred following a family dispute in Lucknow's Vikramaditya Marg area, police confirmed on Tuesday.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Raveen Tyagi reported that the woman poured flammable liquid on herself near Vikramaditya Marg in the Gautam Palli police station limits. Quick-acting police personnel intervened to extinguish the flames and immediately admitted her to Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee (Civil) Hospital.
The woman's condition is critical, with 90 per cent burn injuries, and she is undergoing treatment. According to the police, a family dispute seemed to be the trigger for this extreme act.
