During a torrential downpour in Delhi, a green corridor was established to facilitate the rapid transport of a heart from Kolkata to Gurugram. The operation covered 18 kilometers in just 13 minutes to reach Fortis Hospital, where a 34-year-old man in critical condition awaited the transplant, according to hospital authorities.

The heart was first transported from Kolkata's government hospital to the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport, with police creating the initial green corridor. Medical teams, along with Indigo Airlines, coordinated the flight to Delhi. Upon arrival, another corridor was created to speed the heart to Fortis Hospital.

Dr. Udgeath Dhir and his team successfully conducted the heart transplant. Despite logistical and financial challenges, the efforts of nearly 100 police officers, hospital staff, and the donor's family made the life-saving operation possible. The patient is now stable and under constant observation in the Cardiac ICU.
