Delhi Police has detained a man and four juveniles for allegedly attempting to murder a minor by stabbing him, officials reported on Sunday.

The attack occurred in southwest Delhi's RK Puram area on Friday. The 16-year-old, who resides in Sector-4 of RK Puram, was heading home from tuition around 8 pm through Sector 3/4 park when he was assaulted with a stone and knife, according to a senior police officer. The victim sustained injuries to his back, neck, and ear, and was transported to the AIIMS Trauma Centre where his condition was declared stable.

An FIR has been filed, and a police team has detained four juveniles, aged between 15 and 17, while arresting 19-year-old Neeraj. Preliminary investigations suggest that some of the minors might be addicted to psychotropic substances. The investigation continues, the officer added.
