In a tragic incident, three individuals lost their lives after coming into contact with an overhead electric wire while traveling on the roof of a bus in Jharkhand's Ranchi district. According to police, the accident occurred near Chogagutu village late Sunday night.

Five others sustained injuries and were rushed to Ranchi's Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) for treatment. Speaking about the incident, Bundu Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Rati Bhan Singh indicated that several people were atop the bus when they hit the wire, resulting in the fatalities and injuries.

The bus was en route to Tamar from the Kuchai police station area in Saraikela district when the tragedy occurred. Authorities are investigating the circumstances leading to the accident.
