The project, completed in 26 months, marks one of the country's largest floating solar installations. TPREL’s renewable capacity now totals 10.9 GW.

Tata Power Renewable Energy has successfully launched a groundbreaking 126 MW floating solar project in Madhya Pradesh. This significant development underscores India's ongoing commitment to expanding its renewable energy capabilities.
The project, valued at Rs 596 crore, was awarded by NHDC Limited and stands among the largest floating solar installations in the nation. Situated in the Khandwa district, the Omkareshwar Floating Solar Project will deliver power to the Madhya Pradesh Power Transmission Company Limited, further bolstering the region's energy infrastructure.
Completed in just 26 months, this achievement raises TPREL's total renewable energy capacity to 10.9 GW, with 5.6 GW in various stages of development. Their operational capacity of 5.3 GW includes both solar and wind energy projects, signifying a robust growth in sustainable energy initiatives.
