Security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Kishtwar district have engaged in an intense battle with terrorists, local police reported on Sunday. The confrontation, unfolding in Keshwan, has left three to four militants trapped, according to authorities. The same group is believed to have killed two local Defense Guards earlier this week.
Heightened security measures have been implemented throughout the region, amid fears of escalating violence following Thursday's tragic killings in Kishtwar. This marks the third significant exchange of gunfire between security forces and militants in the past 24 hours, highlighting ongoing tensions.
Concurrently, a significant joint operation was initiated in Srinagar, targeting militants in the Zabarwan forest area. Early intelligence about terrorist presence prompted swift action, resulting in an exchange of gunfire. Meanwhile, in Sopore, Baramulla, one terrorist was neutralized in a continued operation, underscoring the persistent threat and proactive security measures.
