In an event celebrating National Unity Day, Jammu & Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah led the 'Run for Unity' in Srinagar, honoring the legacy of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The run started at the Sher-i-Kashmir International Convention Centre and ended at the Botanical Garden, embodying Patel's ideals of unity.

A diverse group, including students, local residents, and dignitaries, gathered at SKICC. The event was marked by enthusiasm and vibrant banners, with participants symbolizing a collective commitment to national integration. The gathering underscored the importance of community involvement in upholding national values.

Prior to the run, CM Abdullah initiated Vigilance Awareness Week, stressing the need for integrity and transparency in public services. He urged officials to embrace these values, warning that temporary loopholes will close once full statehood is restored to Jammu & Kashmir.
