Empowering Tribes: Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan Launched in Nagaland

Union Minister Jual Oram announced a significant scheme aimed at uplifting tribal communities during his visit to Nagaland. The 'Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan' includes 74 blocks and 608 villages in all 16 districts of the state.
According to Oram, the initiative aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision for a developed India, focusing on improving the socio-economic conditions of tribal populations. The scheme spans across 549 districts and 2,911 blocks in 30 states and territories, with a substantial budget allocation of Rs 79,156 crore.
The program aims to foster development by enhancing literacy, healthcare, skill training, and infrastructure in tribal areas, particularly those with over 50 percent tribal inhabitants. Oram also inaugurated community halls in Dimapur, underscoring the commitment to advancing tribal welfare.
