In a significant breakthrough, the Delhi Police Crime Branch has arrested Faheem alias Badshah, a notorious shooter and key member of the gang responsible for the murder at GTB Hospital. The arrest took place in Meerut, UP, following extensive raids across Delhi, UP, and Punjab.
The victim, Riyazuddin, a 35-year-old resident of Khajuri Khas, Delhi, was shot five times on July 14, 2024. The police registered a case under various sections and embarked on an intensive hunt for the culprits. Faheem and his associates had mistakenly targeted Riyazuddin, thinking he was a member of a rival gang.
Faheem, who moved to Delhi in 2019 and later became involved with a gang while working as a property dealer, had a criminal history including a robbery case. Upon release from jail in June 2024, he planned the murder along with his associates. Their attempt to kill a rival gang member went wrong, leading to the fatal shooting of Riyazuddin. During the arrest operation, Faheem had been evading capture by constantly changing locations.
