In Bahraich, the intensified search operation for two "killer" wolves continues, with persistent fear among locals. Forest department teams are working round the clock to stop the wolf attacks. According to sources, one wolf, in particular, is known for attacking people.

Forest Department General Manager Sanjay Pathak informed ANI, "We are rigorously monitoring the affected areas 24/7. We've switched from using goats to sheep to alter the wolves' behavior, aiming to reduce human attacks." Pathak underscored the challenge posed by false wolf sightings, urging the public to avoid spreading misinformation.

Pathak noted that snap cameras have been installed to track the wolves, and the Bahraich administration has set up temporary shelters for villagers. The Panchayat Bhawan building has been repurposed into a shelter home, with local officials ensuring adequate water and sanitation facilities. Villagers have sought refuge due to fear and poor housing conditions.

Search efforts continued on Saturday with drone surveillance and a targeted operation 2-3 kilometers from Harbaksh Purwa village. Four wolves have been captured so far, and thermal drones are aiding in locating the remaining wolves.
